The Old Stables is a spacious 200 year old beautiful barn conversion nestled on a traditional working livery farm in the lovely village of Olveston. It’s a very picturesque location with a quaint duck pond 20 yards down the road on the way to the heart of the village 5 minutes walk away containing the local convenience store and village pub.

 

Olveston is a quiet village located North of Bristol, we are only five minutes drive from the M4/M5 Motorways and Severn Bridge crossing. We are only 20 minutes drive to the Celtic Manor Resort, 20 mins to the Historic City of Bath and 15 minutes to the centre of the vibrant City of Bristol. Cribbscauseway shopping Mall is also 10 minutes away where there is also a cinema and selection of restaurants.

 

The entrance to the ground floor opens up into a large farmhouse kitchen/Diner with a traditional oil fired cooking stove. There is a separate oven/hob plus all the facilities needed for a kitchen of this size. There is a separate downstairs cloakroom with bell fast sink, plus an office with the use a computer if needed. The lounge has high volted ceilings with a traditional period fireplace with 2 quality sofas. There is a large flat screen digital LCD TV and DVD player, playstation and music centre.

The first floor comprises of 3 character double bedrooms with a master on suite and family sized bathroom. The recently re-furbished bathroom offers the option of bath or shower. 

 

Many evenings are spent sitting on the patio watching the sun set in these beautiful surroundings (Gas BBQ available). This property also boasts a newly converted building to compliment the main house located just outside the kitchen currently used as a games room, there is a wall mounted 32’’ digital LCD TV and DVD player and Nintendo Wii, also a pool and table tennis table. There is an integrated fridge/freezer for extra storage. There is a double size sofa bed which can sleep 2 people, this can used as the 4^th bedroom.

This property’s prime position has to make it an ideal rental property for all Ryder Cup golf enthusiasts. This is our family home and we love living here, we are a non smoking family with no pets inside the house and being a livery farm there is a hay barn and stables close by. We can accommodate several cars.

 

We can offer airport pickup and drop-off, plus travelling to and from Celtic Manor if you so desire, in addition we can offer a maid service at an additional cost.

 

We welcome visitors to enjoy our house for the duration of the Ryder Cup and we will do all that is possible to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and comfortable.

 

A 15% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking and payment to be made in full by the end of May 2010.  In addition a refundable £500 deposit will be required at the time of payment to cover any unforeseen breakages.
